Junior Team Coach
Level 2 Coaching Qualification desirable but not essential (training courses can be provided with an agreed club commitment period) and a clear DBS certificate will need to be obtained. Experience in coaching children’s basketball is not required but would greatly help.
You will need:
- Sufficient knowledge of the game, rules, and an idea of how to develop the different areas of an individual player’s game as well as the team’s overall effectiveness.
- An understanding of the Basketball England development framework, which will be utilised within our coaching programme as of the 2022/2023 season.
- The flexibility to manage games as when fixtures are, typically of a weekend.
- A firm understanding of the club’s ethos, and a commitment to meeting the collective objective of the club.
Senior Men’s Coach
Level 1 or 2 Coaching Qualification desirable but not essential (training courses can be provided with an agreed club commitment period) and a clear DBS certificate will need to be obtained.
You will need:
- Excellent knowledge of the game, rules, and an idea of how to develop the different areas of an individual player’s game as well as the team’s overall effectiveness.
- The ability to manage senior men’s training sessions with a routine and progressive format.
- The flexibility to manage games as when fixtures are, typically weekday evenings (Thursday/Friday)
- A firm understanding of the club’s ethos, and a commitment to meeting the collective objective of the club.
Events Manager
A dedicated and organised individual that can plan and execute the various events ran by the club. This includes fundraisers, club camps, awards night, and any other events. Experience is not necessary.
You will need:
- Excellent organisation skills, to ensure events are delivered on time and without issue.
- The ability to independently communicate with venues, as well as the committee.
Gameday Concessions Manager
A flexible and organised individual that can manage the sale, stock, and receipts for concessions from our home venue. A typical day would involve managing the sale of items on the day, ensuring transactions can be carried out and cash is handled correctly, basic monitoring of stock level and keeping note of sales to help with periodic stock audits.
You will need:
- The ability to handle cash and provide correct change.
- Sufficient book-keeping skills (Noting items sold).
